Mediamojo was recently approached by the new owner and manager of Australian Portable Toilets to update and refresh their logo. Refreshing a logo is a great way for a business to show their customers that their business is constantly evolving and embracing their surroundings.
The approach that we used for Australian Portable Toilets was to evolve their already well designed logo into a more simplistic and sleeker identity, but without loosing the original structure and impression that already existed. By doing this we aimed to help Australian Portable Toilets customers still easily identify the brand, and to also excite them and make them ask “what other changes have happened?”
Restyling the Australian icon from a textured brush stroke to a ribbon like shaded graphic with an overlapping 3 dimensional feel, resulted in a more corporate and confident brand. The colour palette was also reduced to help make the brand stronger and easier to identify. We kept the font the same, but by reducing the letter spacing we gave the logo even more strength and a more compact and compliant layout.
