When uploading an image to your website or sending an image via email it may be necessary to resize your image to exact dimensions. This is easy enough for your graphic or web designer to do for you but time is money, so why not save some green and do it yourself. With so many image editors available it can be difficult to know which one to use. Here is an online option which is quick and user friendly.

Below is a step-by-step guide to assist you.
Step 1: Go to www.webresizer.com/resizer/
Step 2: Using the Browse section at the top of the page select the image from your computer you would like to resize. Open > Upload Image
Your image will now be uploaded showing both the optimized image and the original image.
Step 3: If you want the image to be the same proportions however just be a particular width or height you can resize it by going to New size below the image and type in the size (this number is measured in pixels for the web) then click the apply changes button.
However you may want to crop the image into a section. You can do this by clicking the crop button above the image. Dimension boxes will then appear above the image and a cropping tool over the image, which you can move around as needed. Once you have your selection click apply changes.
Step 4: You can also Rotate your image or adjust the image using tools such as Sharpen, Image quality, Tint, Exposure, Contrast, Colour Saturation and Border. Be aware that using some of these may increase the file size of the image.
Step 5: Now that you have your image to the size you need select the Download This Image button below the image size details, and save your image. If you are not given the option of where to save to, save the image and once the download box comes up (as below) right click and select Open Containing Folder.
You now have your image web optimized and ready to upload to your website or send via email.
